My life took a drastic turn when I was 11 years old when my father passed away. Our family was not organised and on top of dealing with our grief, we were overcome by insecurity and chaos because we didn't have information about our finances.
The Financial Snapshot gives your loved ones clear summaries of all your finances. In this way, anyone can have peace of mind that their families will know everything they need to, when the time comes.
To make your own Financial Snapshot:
Gather all your important
documents
Get out all your personal legal and financial documents. The Financial Snapshot Pack gives a list of the type of information to gather.
Just do enough
For each piece of information, create a short summary by filling in “essential” information on the Financial Snapshot Form. By doing this, you will have already achieved a lot! You may always go back and add more details.
Keep it in a safe place
Print out your The Financial Snapshot so your loved ones don’t need to deal computer logins and passwords. Keep it in fireproof waterproof pouch that’s stored it in a safe place, along with a copy on a USB drive. You may also like to start a Heaven Sent Box for your family.
Tell someone you trust
Tell someone where you have stored your Financial Snapshot. They needn’t know what’s inside only where it is.
