No-one and I mean no-one, likes to think about the 3 terrible D’s -- Disability, Dementia and Death but we have all had thoughts about "what will happen if something happens to X?". We don’t need endless discussions, but a few good ones will do.
We can't control the way life unfolds, but we can have control over how organised we are. So in my family, we created a Heaven Sent Box that contains our important documents, all together, in one place, neat and clear so it can be a shining light in a dark time.

We don’t know when our time will come but by leaving our loved ones a personal final message while you still can, you’ll be able to tell them what you need them to know even after you have gone.

This may be a hard task to do, or to even think about but having your final wishes committed to paper can somehow spare your loved-ones from the added grief of making decisions on your arrangements during a very difficult time.

Once you have started a Heaven Sent Box, we recommend that you:
Store it safely
A Heaven Sent Box could be a fireproof waterproof pouch or box and stored in a safe place.
Tell someone you trust
Tell someone where you have stored your Heaven Sent Box. They needn’t know what’s inside only where it is.
The peace of mind it gives us cannot be overstated.
When I completed my Heaven Sent Box, I reminded my Mum to do it, my immediate family, my in-laws, as I might be involved in handling some of their estates and I wanted to make it as easy as possible on their families and myself when the time comes.
